BATIK YING
Learn the art of Malaysian batik painting and create a beautiful work of art to take home.
The first 20 people can take part in this workshop for FREE so make sure you come early! Drop-in workshops throughout the day (no pre-booking necessary), and kits will also be available to purchase
BADGE MAKING
Create a unique accessory! FREE badge making workshop with our resident artist Ginger Dan. Customise your design then use the badge-making machine to turn it into a wearable work of art

ABOUT GWA CURATED MARKET
A series of themed Curated Markets in the Great Western Arcade, featuring some of the best independent makers and producers from Birmingham and beyond! Come along and support them!
We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant community hub at the Great Western Arcade, while also championing local artisans and makers. Join us as we launch an array of exciting initiatives, including a Curated Market inside the Arcade, showcasing the incredible talent of our local producers and craftspeople.
Each market is themed so you will experience different stalls on every date. Some will have free samples on offer, and demonstrations so you can get to know each maker and learn about what they do.
You can also enjoy unique experiences such as workshops, activities and talks, all in keeping with the theme of the market. Follow our social media channels and check back here for details of each market as it approaches.
Each day runs from 11am to 5pm, and the 2023 markets are:
- 2nd September – Craft + Makers
- 7th October – Black History Month/World Market
- 28th October – Halloween
- 25th November – Sustainability
- 16th December – Christmas
