High End Gift Shop Makes the Move to Great Western Arcade
Birmingham’s Great Western Arcade has announced the arrival of a brand new retailer to the city centre shopping destination. High end greeting card, gift and stationery specialist Parchment is opening its doors this weekend to offer customers a wide selection of quality items just in time for the festive season.
Previously based in the Mailbox, Parchment had been seeking an alternative location with higher footfall and a profile that would fit the needs of the business. The store’s arrival follows two more recent additions to the arcade in the form of specialist French patisserie The Bread Collection and luxury sandwich shop Fat Sandwich.
Gay Faulkner, centre manager at the Great Western Arcade, said: “Parchment offers high quality, niche products for the discerning shopper who wants something different to the everyday high street card, gift and stationery chain stores. The owners had looked at other shopping malls in Birmingham city centre, but felt the Great Western Arcade with its range of up-market retailers and splendid Victorian architecture was the right fit for them.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Parchment join us as it will be a fantastic addition to our varied quality offering. We are continuing to invest all our efforts in attracting more retailers and we have great hopes for the future of the arcade.”
Parchment has eight additional stores all around the UK including those in Edinburgh, Plymouth, London, Sheffield and Doncaster.
